As a former New Englander now calling Bartlesville, Oklahoma, home, I hold onto my regional pride, especially when it comes to pronouncing “chowder” as “chowda.” My culinary journey began in my family kitchen, where I created cherished memories cooking alongside my father and sisters. From these humble beginnings to exploring the vibrant dining scenes of Chicago and New York, my passion for food has been a constant thread, shaping me as a person, brother, son, and uncle.
“Jared Gleaton Eats” is more than just a venture—it’s a transformative journey overcoming loss and losing 176lbs in one year discovering myself through food. Fueled by my background in psychology, I have curated an immersive experience that goes beyond the plate, engaging all five senses to unlock the profound psychological responses hidden within each bite. Together, we will break down barriers and embark on a journey of self-discovery, using food as a conduit for deeper understanding and connection within our community.
Let’s savor every moment, learning and growing with each delicious bite. Let’s live to eat and eat to learn.
Food is a universal language that connects us to our emotions, memories, and communities. Every bite is an opportunity to expand our palates and immerse ourselves in diverse culinary experiences. This journey is about more than taste—it’s about self-discovery and celebrating the chefs who create culinary magic, shaping our identities and enhancing our lives.
Our adventure doesn’t end at the restaurant. Inspired by our discoveries, we bring the journey home, creating magic in our kitchens and promoting a healthier relationship with food. At Jared Gleaton Eats, my mission is to inspire others to embrace mindful eating, using food as a catalyst for transformation and healing. I discuss these things in my book “A Feast for the Senses: The Psychological Art of Eating Well.”
